British immigration system is becoming digital. It will impact on how you prove your immigration status to exercise your rights and travel to the UK.
If you hold EU Settled Status or Pre-Settled Status (EUSS/PSS), you don’t have to do anything to set up an online account and link your ID document. Your status is already digital. But you have responsibilities to maintain it: by updating your details and ensuring that your valid ID document is linked.
Watch this video from Home Office on how to create a UKVI account and get access to your eVisa:
What you need to set up your UKVI account
Your biometric residence permit number (BRP) or your visa application number (UAN)
Your ID document: a passport or a BRP
